BellyTots meets on the first Saturday of each month at 3 - 5pm at South Ruislip Christian Fellowship, Deane Avenue, HA4 6SR.
Parking is freely available on the driveway, forecourt and on the road at that time.
We are a small group and the informal meetings consist of welcoming each other, sharing any news about the babies [how old they are now (weeks, gestation); scan updates; midwife/obstetrician updates]; speaking God's words over the babies; listening to God for any words He has for anyone present; and some practical information on labour, birth and/or early parenting from our resident Antenatal Teacher or one of the other Bellytots leaders; finishing with prayer. From 4 - 5pm is a time of refreshments and chatting; parents who have had their babies are invited to return to show them off and share their testimonies. Parents can seek one to one prayer with BellyTots leaders at this time and we may be joined by some of our friends from the earlier BellyTots 56:8 meeting, which is for parents who are experiencing fertility difficulties and/or pregnancy loss.
BellyTots is the Womb Ministry of South Ruislip Christian Fellowship. The first Womb Ministry we are aware of was run at Kensington Temple by Helen and Olly Goldenberg of 'Children Can' ministries. A Womb Ministry aims to minister to the child in the womb from conception to birth; recognising the spiritual awareness of babies in the womb as demonstrated by John the Baptist's reaction to meeting Jesus when both were in the womb. BellyTots [the babies in the womb] are covered in God's promises through His word at every meeting. A Womb Ministry also seeks to bathe both Mother and Father in prayer; encouraging absolute trust in God for His incredible design for birth and through every trial and challenge they may meet.
Meet the Team
Liz Sheriden is a mum of three and an National Childbirth Trust Antenatal Teacher. She has attended church at SRCF since 2007 and enjoys helping to lead Sunday Club for 0-5 year olds and helping with the music at church. She is thrilled to now be using her faith and skills at BellyTots.
Oli Spence is the Pastor at SRCF. He looks forward to bringing a prophetic edge to BellyTots, supporting men as they transition to Fatherhood and bringing his own experiences as a father of a young family.
Lucy Spence is the church Youth Worker. Although specialising in ministering to teens, she looks forward to moving into this new area of ministry and sharing her own experiences as a mother to a young family.
Denise Smith is a mum of eight. She brings a wealth of valuable experience of labour, birth and early parenting. She looks forward to providing gentle support and encouragement to mothers at BellyTots. She is a member of Northwood Hills Evangelical Church.
Danielle Gandee has a passion and calling to minister through prayer. She brings experience of trusting God through challenges and would especially welcome single parents to the ministry.
We also have a team of trusted prayer warriors who, with parents' permission, will be covering the whole team and every family who visits, in prayer. Feeding back any words from God to the BellyTots leaders.
