Car Parking

Car parking spaces are limited at the church. For the visitor there are a number of options available. Please see below for details. Blue Badge information is at the bottom of this page.

Church forecourt

There is space for three or four vehicles. Note that these vehicles should be short and not overlap the pavement. A parking ticket was once posted on a car which overlapped the pavement by 150 millimetres [6 inches].

Left side of church

There is space for five or six cars here, depending on how careful drivers are. It helps to reverse in to park because coming out forwards increases visibility around our neighbour's fence, when watching for pedestrians and traffic. When parking, please keep towards the side by the fence, leaving the path paved with the lighter bricks clear for wheelchair and buggy access.

Car park across the road

This is a private car park but we have permission to use the far side of this car park on Sundays. Do not park in the area nearest to the entrance as these spaces are for the residents of the adjoining flats.

In the roadway

Avoid the yellow lines! There are five Pay and Display spaces when turning into Deane Avenue which can be used free of charge outside of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday i.e. evenings and weekends.

Residents' spaces can also be used outside these hours. Please park considerately as there are many dropped kerbs along the road.

Off-site parking

To avoid the limitations on parking, including fees, during the Monday-Friday 9am-5pm period there is free parking at Sainsbury's [2 hours] and Asda [5 hours], both of which are 5 to 10 minutes walk away from the church. Both are easily found on Google Maps, etc.

Blue Badge holders

There is a single yellow line directly outside the church, which can be used when displaying a Blue Badge. The Pay and Display spaces and the Residents' spaces can also be freely used at any time. If you contact us in advance of your visit, we will do what we can to reserve you a space at the church.
